Olam Katan and Chabad House Kathmandu are jointly operating a unique project for Israeli travelers, in memory of the late Nadav Shoham, who perished during a trip to Nepal. As part of the project, travelers can receive an advanced satellite device in Kathmandu – a solution that provides real security in the field and enables communication even in isolated areas.
As part of the collaboration, you will receive professional training, important tips for preventing emergencies, and familiarization with safety rules in the field. In addition, pressing the distress button built into each Olam Katan satellite device activates a wide assistance system: the Olam Katan hotline, your insurance company's rescuers, and also Rabbi Hezki – the director of Chabad House Nepal – who brings with him extensive experience in the field and the ability to assist in real time.
Thousands of Israeli travelers have already benefited from this collaboration, which has helped with quick and efficient rescues in many cases. This is a project that was born out of responsibility, memory, and a deep understanding of the needs of the Israeli traveler.
